RICHLANDS – It wouldn’t be the holiday season without a parade and several are on tap in the area this week.
A Christmas Full of Blessings is the theme of this year’s parade in Richlands and Ryan Lawson, a third grade student at Cedar Bluff Elementary came up with that slogan. The parade will be Dec. 5 at 6:30 starting from the Richlands Police Department.
Tazewell’s parade is the following day, (Dec. 6), starting at four p.m. The parade goes from the high school to the little league field on the west end of town. Bluefield will start its parade at noon Dec. 5 with Mayor Don Harris serving as grand marshal.
The theme of Bluefield’ parade is A Grinch’s Green Christmas. The parade starts at the old Kroger building and ends at the Verizon building.
Pocahontas will hold its parade Dec. 12 and it will start at Laurel Meadows Park at six p.m. Christmas in a Small Town is the theme of this year’s parade in Pocahontas.
