Wytheville eatery closes its doors
Bye-bye Blizzards.
Wytheville’s Dairy Queen franchise dished out its last frozen treats Sunday night, closing its doors after 21 years in town.
The decision to shut down wasn’t announced to the public until Monday when the store posted a notice on its marquee around noon.
Longtime employees shared tears and hugs Monday in the empty eatery as they worked on final cleaning projects and reminisced about fun times on the job.
